Privacy Policy

slowcolor ("the app") is a color-collecting app made by an independent developer. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Email address — if you create an account, so you can sign in and recover access to your data.
• Username — chosen by you, shown publicly next to colors you contribute to the shared map.
• Photos — photos you take or choose to identify a color. Photos you save privately stay on your device; photos you choose to contribute to the shared global map are stored so other users can view them.
• Color data — the colors, names, and palettes you save.

You can use the core features of the app anonymously, without creating an account. An anonymous identifier is still created locally so your saved colors persist between sessions on your device.

How it's used

Your data is used only to operate the app: storing your saved colors and palettes, displaying your username and contributed photos on the shared map, and letting you sign back in. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third parties

The app is built on Supabase, which hosts our database, file storage, and authentication. Supabase processes data on our behalf under its own security practices; we don't share your data with any other third party. If you sign in with Apple, Apple's Sign in with Apple service is used per Apple's own privacy terms.

Content you post publicly

Colors, photos, and usernames you contribute to the shared global map are visible to other users of the app. Anything you post can be reported by other users; reported content is automatically removed from public view pending review. See our Content Guidelines for details.

Your choices

• You can edit your username and email at any time from the account screen.
• You can delete individual saved colors or global contributions at any time.
• You can block another user, which hides their contributions from your view.
• You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → ⋯ → Delete Account. This removes your saved colors, profile, public contributions, and login — it cannot be undone.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, associated data is removed immediately, except where content has already been reported for review (kept briefly for moderation purposes) or where we're required to retain it by law.

Children

slowcolor is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
